A strong believer in the power of business as driver for sustainable system transformation. I am currently heading Global Climate Strategy & Strategic Projects at Covestro, a big
international manufacturer of high quality materials who serves global markets.

I have the privilege to have experienced various work on sustainable business development and management across industries (finance, energy, healthcare, agriculture, chemicals). In multinational
companies I have been working mainly at the interfaces to corporate strategy, investor relations and the businesses by embedding a modern sustainability perspective into adjusted core processes.

 

At Covestro...

I have been since the first minute of the carve out from Bayer and by this worked intensively into the company’s positioning and sustainable business management set up for the IPO.
I have been substantially involved in the new vision and strategy development, in launching ambitious climate targets and currently I am leading a global transformation program to make the company more independent from fossil feedstock bases in the future, to bend linear value chains into future value cycles and to get us to net zero and climate neutral.

I am leading my own climate strategy team as well as the global program team. My leadership principles are empathy and empowerment and I love to build capacities to inspire and influence within the existing system in order to transfer into a better economic and living system.

Psychology of economics and international management at University of Cologne (Germany) and Lunds University (Sweden) and have furthermore lived in Kerala (India) and Bordeaux (France).

I am married and proud father of two children, I do love art and unconvention.
