  • Eddie Shiomi
    Eddie Shiomi

    Eddie Shiomi is a non-profit/leadership consultant. He previously served as vice chairman and Executive Director of Apex for Youth, a mentoring organization that serves youth from underserved communities in New York City. Eddie also served as Director of Educational Innovation at the New School and as Vice President of Programs for Venture for America (founded by former Presidential candidate Andrew Yang), and at the Coro New York Leadership center as director/trainer of numerous programs which included the Fellows Program in Public Affairs and the Immigrant Civic Leadership program, a mid-career program designed to increase the capacity of people working to lead change in immigrant communities across New York City. Eddie started his career in Los Angeles as a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs. He then served as deputy to former California Assembly Speaker Robert M. Hertzberg. Eddie was appointed co-chair of the Asian Pacific Islander American Gala reception during the 2000 Democratic National Convention. He received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles and currently calls Brooklyn his home.

  • Seth Hufford
    Seth Hufford

    Seth founded The People Group to focus on leadership and organizational development grounded in equity and inclusion. By building people’s capacity to strategically address complex issues, he facilitates the creation of better-functioning relationships, workplaces, and communities. He works with a range of clients including community activists, technology executives, architects, and public high school students. Prior to founding The People Group in 2013, Seth managed global executive education programs at Carnegie Mellon University’s Business School, directed Coro’s Leadership New York program, and facilitated Leadership Pittsburgh’s Leadership Development Initiative. He served as chief of staff to an elected official, directed economic development at a Chamber of Commerce, and operated as a consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. Seth holds a Master of Public Policy and Management from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Arts from Dickinson College.
