Stepping Into New Narratives: Bringing about the future we want to create
Many of us understand that in order to carry ourselves, our organizations, and our communities into the futures we want to create – we will need new stories, new narratives to get us there.
• How do we begin to bring forward these stories and these futures?
• How do we acknowledge and lay down the stories we may be carrying, that don’t support these possibilities?
• How do we step into new narratives – that support reimagining ourselves, in contributing towards the emerging future?
Otto Scharmer explains how many of us carry a shared understanding: that our current civilization is hitting the wall. As a we face deepening divides across our social, ecological and spiritual systems, Otto reflects that many of us “want to be part of a different story – we just don’t know how.”
In this 60-minute session we will engage in story games, journaling exercises, and small group sharing. These activities will allow us to explore, sense, and crystallize who we want to be, and what we want to bring into the co-created future.
